Even though Ditto Music no longer represents Sam Smith, there were no hard feelings as the new prince of pop picked up four Grammys on Sunday’s celebrations. Ditto has expressed their delight and support for Sam Smith, who first released his music in 2008.
The worldwide music distribution company was the first to ever distribute and promote the English born artist and have been recognised as providing a medium for artists to break into the music industry. Ditto Music worked with Smith early on to establish his career, prior his signing to Capitol Records.

The Stay With Me artist, has been recognised as Ditto Music’s breakthrough artist and has given other unsigned acts the same hope of achieving a chart topping career.
Sam Smith became the most talked about artist at yesterday’s Grammys awards, with over three quarters of million tweets dedicated to the singer.
News of former Ditto Music artists breaking it big in the industry, has gave hope to other unsigned artists who are currently struggling to get their music heard. Ditto Music currently distributes over 85,000 artists worldwide and was awarded a Guinness World Record Award, after achieving the first digital only Top 40 Hit in 2007.
Last year Sam Smith was the only artist in the UK and US to sell over a million copies of his album.
