Sir Elton John confirms 2nd baby to join the John-Furnish clan.
Despite the denial earlier in the week the couple have welcomed Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John into the world.
Rumours surfaced last Thursday that the legendary singer and his partner David had fathered another child, however his reps were quick to issue a denial. However current reports confirm that the baby was born in Los Angeles on Friday.
A statement to Hello! reads:
“The reality that we now have two sons is almost unbelievable. The birth of our second son completes our family in a most precious and perfect way. It is difficult to fully express how we are feeling at this time; we are just overwhelmed with happiness and excitement.”
Elijah is a little brother for Zachary, who was born on Christmas Day in 2010.
Discussing his desire to have more children following Zachary’s birth, Elton spoke of how he would use the same surrogate again so his children are biological siblings.
He said:
“We could go back to the same egg donor, so biologically there would certainly be a connection between brother and brother or brother and sister.”
