More fake tan than the entire cast of Towie, do not adjust the colour on your TV sets – it can only mean one thing, the Strictly Come Dancing extravaganza has come to our screens.

Yesterday’s launch was quite incredible as Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly introduced the colourful cast for the 10th series of the flagship BBC show.

The contestants were introduced to their professional dance partners for their duration on the BBC One series and the judges seemed thrilled by the line up of contestants, which featured Team GB Olympians: Louis Smith and Victoria Pendleton, as well as Girl Aloud singer Kimberley Walsh, Westlife singer Nicky Byrne, famed supermodel, actress and former wife to Mick Jagger, Jerry Hall, Eastender Sid Owen and Denise Van Outen.

Judge Len Goodman said:

‘This is the first time I knew every single one of the celebrities. We’ve got some hunky dunky guys and gorgeous girls.’

It’s going to be a scorcher. I can’t wait to see Denise, Kimberley and Victoria performing the raunchy rumba and the saucy salsa.’

However the trademark bitching wasn’t far behind as Craig Revel Horwood remarked that Lisa Riley’s dance partner could be in for a tough competition. He said:

‘Lisa and Robin? Good luck.’

Bruce Forsyth was sure to point out the new face on this year’s judging panel joking:

‘You may have noticed a new face on the panel…yes, Craig had some work done over the summer.’
