Kim Davis, the woman who refused to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples in Kentucky is to be released from jail.

The Kentucky clerk who refused to issue marriage licenses to gay men is to be released from jail and expected to return to work shortly after. It has not appeared that she has changed her mind and risks breaking the law if she continues to deny gay couples.

Calls have been made for Ms Davis to step aside if she is unable to fulfil her job.
