Danny Dyer has dragged up and looks pretty sensational. He’s donned a wig and make up for Lucy Rose’s brand new video Nebraska and got the gig after admitting that he always wanted to be a drag queen.
Speaking about how Dyer got involved with her project, she told The Independent,

“The miracle to this story is that almost an hour after I sent over the treatment, he replied saying, ‘Let’s do it, I’ve always wanted to be a drag queen’.”

Speaking about his transformation Danny said,
“I was honoured to be asked by the maestro that is Lucy Rose to be part of her video.
“When I got the treatment through I was overwhelmed. I think it’s such a moving piece of work. I’m beyond proud to be part of it, I’ve always believed that people should be who they want to be, regardless of race or gender.
“Freedom of expression is so important – I really hope that this video gets the recognition it deserves.”
Danny Dyer became a bit of a gay icon back in 2014 after his on screen EastEnders’ son, Johnny Carter came out to him as gay.
The scene was critically acclaimed and universally praised for its sensitivity towards the subject of coming out.
However a number of homophobic tweets were sent to Danny’s Twitter account after the screening, to which he had the best retort.
He told them to stick their opinions where the sun doesn’t shine.
