Arbery Books is set to close its website after nine years selling LGBT books.

Arbery Books, the UK’s leading online dealer of rare and secondhand LGBT books is set to close at the end of May.

The company’s owner Martin Foreman said,

I would like to take this opportunity to thank my many customers for their support, either in a single purchase or regularly depleting my stock.

“It has been a pleasure doing business with you and I wish you success in your collecting rare lesbian, gay, trans, whatever books in future”.

The store stocks a wide variety of secondhand books and vintage magazines including a “frail edition” of a 1923 French satirical magazine, which “pokes fun at homosexuals of both genders”.

The store also carries an incredibly rare version of  Der Unschuldige “the story of a transformation” a very rare pre-Nazi German gay fiction book.
