Nathan James became the seventh finalist to leave Superstars after being eliminated by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber.

James was booted of the series in a shock result on Monday night after a tense sing off with fellow contestant Roger Wright.

The two sang the Lloyd Webber’s 1989 hit Love Changes Everything, but James’ performance wasn’t enough to change Andrew’s love for him saying: “This is not easy. Despite a fantastic performance [from Nathan] I’ve got to save Roger.”

A clearly disappointed Nathan spoke about his highlights on the show saying: “When we found out we were going to be singing with Gary Barlow in rehearsals that was really that was really scary it was kind of a milestone for me; to say I’ve sung with Gary Barlow is incredible. I really enjoyed it.”

He then added: “I would like to say thank you for all your comments, I really tried to take them on board and I really tried to do my best. I’m sorry if it wasn’t enough. And thank you to everybody at home for voting. That’s the first time I’ve been in the bottom two and that is a real achievement, it means people out there really care about me.”
