Bristol Bisons RFC in support of the Terrence Higgins trust is proud to present The Cattle Market – Bachelor Auction and BBQ.
Bristol Bisons RFC were the recent hosts of the 2013 Union Cup – Europe’s largest gay Rugby Union tournament with over 550 players from 19 teams and 10 countries. The Union Cup was a major event for the City of Bristol and South Gloucestershire, injecting over £250,000 into the local economy and providing a showcase event for visitors from across Europe. The Cattle Market will be a thank you event for many of the officials and volunteers involved in the tournament who helped to make it a great success for Bristol.
As Bison will be on sale, the evening goes under the headline “The Cattle Market”. During the bachelor auction part of the evening, attendees can bid for dates with the eligible members of the team. The date itself will be provided by local businesses – for example a meal for 2 or an evening at the cinema. A “Livestock Catalogue” will be produced closer to the event detailing Bison and date pairings.
The event will be introduced and DJ’d by Miss Demeanor – the Bison’s own drag queen. Lightening fast rugby winger by Saturday day, Miss Demeanor transforms into a killer Diva in the evening when her witticisms come just as quick as her foot work on the pitch. Miss Demeanor has recently won the South Coast regional final of Drag Idol – the countries foremost drag competition. The occasion is set to be a great evening of food, theatre and fun for anyone attending, whether they are bidding or not.
Tickets to the Cattle Market are on sale through Eventbrite.co.uk and are £12 including food and all the evenings entertainment. The event takes place on 17th August 2013, 7pm-11pm at the Southbank Club, Bristol. Proceeds from the auction will be split between the Terrence Higgins Trust and Bristol Bisons RFC.
