UK pop royalty, The Saturdays are on course to set alight both sides of the Atlantic as they release new single What About Us on 17th March, through Polydor Records.
With a dancehall-influenced pop beat, What About Us is an infectious dance tune that places the girls at the very pinnacle of what’s hot right now, while showcasing the harmonious vocals of Vanessa, Frankie, Rochelle, Mollie and Una. The video for What About Us premiered with millions of views online.
The track is the first album from upcoming album, The Chase out later this year.
The Saturdays have had an incredible run of success in the UK already with eleven top 10 singles, three top 10 albums and a recently completed sold out UK arena tour. They have sold over four million records.
This didn’t go unnoticed by US TV execs, and in August last year the girls relocated to Los Angeles to begin filming the all new E! series Chasing The Saturdays, which follows the band as they work to make it in the US, signing with renowned music label Mercury / Island Def Jam. The show premiered in the US on 20th January.
With the full support of media heavy weights of the E! Network, VEVO [who selected the group as their first act of 2013 for their emerging artist program, Lift] and Mercury Records, the girls will launch in the US with all guns blazing and are set to make a mark on the musical landscape. The Saturdays have already performed at the Golden Globes after party plus they performed What About Us on the Jay Leno show and they sold out their first ever headline show in New York.
