A gay man from San Francisco, who was a victim of a gay bashing, has shared a video on Facebook that has a message of hope.
Jeffery Lafayette who says he was gay bashed by a group of men in San Francisco because he was wearing white trousers has taken to Facebook to share a video with a message of hope for the future.
The video has already been viewed over 1 million times.
Jeffrey described how he was left bleeding and bruised after his attack, which saw him kicked to the ground by a group of men and screaming for help.
Despite his ordeal, his message is one of love and resilience.
Using placards in his video to describe his attack, Jeffrey said
“No matter how hard they hit, no matter how cruel life will be, you must always GET UP! And continue to love and smile! Never forget to SMILE.”
The strength of your love is more powerful than any fist! Thank you! Please Share. The LGBT youth needs to see this so they are aware of the hatred that is still out there but tell them that no matter how much hatred or cruelty you are faced with, the love from those you surround yourself with is STRONGER than anything! Thank you God, my family, and my friends!
